Pittsburgh Area Community Schools offers a variety of support to students in nine area school districts, including East Allegheny, according to Paul Mulbah, team leader for PACS.
Mulbah described the work of the organization at the Dec. 3, 2025, meeting of the Allegheny East Business Network. PACS provides comprehensive academic, social, and health services for students, students’ family members, and community members that result in improved educational outcomes for children.
Services include breakfast before school, a free store at East Allegheny High School at which students can select clothing and other needs, and counseling for students and families.
The AEBN, a group of local business owners and service organization representatives, meets the first Wednesday of every month. The next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 7 at R Time at Rene’s in East McKeesport.
