Ron Yocca’s drug addiction took him to the brink of suicide, but after learning to accept the help he needed, he learned that he needed to help others.
Ron, who told his story at the Sept. 10 meeting of the Allegheny East Business Network, is the founder of My Brothers House – Sober Living a non-profit that provides interim housing for men recovering from addiction or alcoholism. He also owns Tri-State Development, a construction company that often employs and trains those in recovery.
My Brothers House offers job-searching assistance and resources to help its residents acquire gainful employment, as well as offer job training in construction for those interested.
It also provides counseling and emphasizes recovery through love, hope, compassion and guidance.
Although My Brothers House occasionally faces resistance from local government, he praised North Versailles Township for providing a welcoming environment.
Ron also is a member of the Allegheny East Business Network board of directors.
