Our Mission
At Evening Star Personal Care Home,
the staff, residents, their
families and community resources all join together to provide a safe caring environment
in a warm, family atmosphere.
Our mission is to work hand in hand
with each other to make the first
transition from home as easy as
possible.
A holistic approach is used with each resident with special emphasis given to religious, educational and cultural
backgrounds. All meals
are cooked in the home, and as needed, adequate attention is given
to special dietary needs. Care is tailored to the resident’s needs with emphasis in promoting independence to achieve each individual’s optimum level of daily living. Once an assessment is made, appropriate planning is utilized to achieve and
provide a quality plan of care.
Potential residents and/or family members are encouraged to visit our facility to become more acquainted with what we have to offer.

History
In 1988, Christopher and Theresa Dixon fulfilled their dream of owning their own business. They bought the property at 200 Caldwell Avenue. (a building with a colorful and eclectic history - built in 1898) and opened Evening Star Personal Care Home. After much renovation and hard work by their entire family, that building was changed into a home with a capacity for 19 residents. Together, with their staff, they provide care based on dignity, spirituality, recreation, social interaction and personal touches. The meals are homemade and many days you will smell the aroma of fresh baked bread. An affordable homestyle living atmosphere is offered to those not wanting to live alone.
