East Hills Cabinet Company
1575 Ice Plant Hill Road
North Versailles, PA 15137
East Hills Cabinet Company was founded by Ron Virtes in 1971 and continues to be a family owned and operated business conveniently located in the Turtle Creek Valley area. Ron started in the cabinet business, as a young apprentice building custom kitchens for Dreschler Cabinet Company in Elrama, Pa. He continued advancing his skills under some of the finest craftsmen in the Pittsburgh area.
After holding positions of increasing responsibility, he decided to finally open his own shop. Ron was joined by his son Jim in 1991 and they have worked side by side ever since. In 2014, Ron passed the company to Jim, who has and will maintain the East Hills Cabinet Company tradition of high quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Today, East Hills Cabinet Company proudly serves the Greater Pittsburgh and surrounding areas as a full service organization providing a quality product to those with discriminating tastes. Their mission is to provide the best quality and value to their customers. The needs of the customers will always be East Hills Cabinet’s foremost priority, with their absolute satisfaction and patronage as a goal.
Ron and Jim state that once a customer contacts them, an appointment will be scheduled at either their location or at the showroom to discuss the project. East Hills Cabinet will not start a project until all materials are on hand. This ensures a seamless and timely process from start to finish. The customer can rest assured that their project will be handled with the utmost professionalism and they always have access to and the full attention of the most senior craftsmen, the owners.

EABA Member Name: Scott Martin and Jim Vazzo
In early 2012, Jim Vazzo and Scott Martin (after a combined 50+ years of corporate finance and accounting expertise) decided that it was time to help those companies that either could not afford their own CFO (Chief Financial Officer) or were too small to have a full time CFO. The underlying belief, of course, is that ALL companies need the financial guidance that a CFO can provide. Both Scott and Jim believe that small business owners ( and non-profits) need to run their organizations with the same tools that the “Big Boys” use. They advocate generating and reviewing monthly financial statements so the owner can “change course” if need be prior to waiting until year-end, which could be too late. They promote adopting software in which to run your business; scheduling, invoicing and customer service, as there is a great deal of “off the shelf software” that can simplify doing business. Additionally, they assist clients seeking help with bank lines of credit and risk (insurance) management.

EABA Member Name: JAMES R. WRIGHT
In 2002, Sergeant Major James Wright retired from the United States Army. Wilmerding Notary was opened for business in 2010 to help the community with their personal & legal paperwork verification. Mr. Wright handles all except DMV issues. The tendency for him to serve came full circle in November 2013, when he was elected Mayor of Wilmerding for a four year term. He didn’t have much time to settle into his office when a very big unwelcome “hello” greeted him! Ice Plant Hill Road had one of the biggest landslides to hit the community. Jim wants to share a very important point with us. This landslide is affecting businesses and residences on both sides of the slide , but it also affects the school children and the East Allegheny School bus schedule due to the re-routing of the stops. His concern and caring for the children is evident with Jim’s support of the EABA Scholarship Program. The East Allegheny Business Association thanks him for his support. Congratulations on being the EABA March 2014 Member of the Month.
